Opening doors
The Topdor Industrial Roller Shutter Drive is a cost effective solution for opening and closing Industrial Roller Doors under power. The simple straight forward design of the worm reduction gearbox, assembled with motor and limit switches, has been a favourite with installers of industrial roller doors for many years.
Features of Topdor roller shutter drives
The Topdor roller shutter drive has been designed with years of gearcutting experience and knowledge of specialized gearboxes. Features include:
- Special tip chamfer on worm thread (no sharp edges in contact with worm wheel).
- Robust main housing (very strong, no thin sections).
- Fully sealed main housing, no breather plugs required. No leakage.
- Cam locking screws for limit switches to prevent any creeping of cams once set.
- All units bench tested prior to leaving plant.
Our units are constantly being tested on our premises. Most recently, one unit was tested through 230,000 cycles of continuous running lifting a 120kg weight. On inspection of this unit only an extra .010" backlash was detected, and worm wheel and seals were still in excellent condition.
