Gear Technology magazine, carried out an anonymous international survey of gear manufacturers in October last year.
Over 300 respondents answered the survey which was predominantly focused around trends in manufacturing operations and the challenges involved.
Some cited ‘Currency changes making it more difficult to export’ as one of the challenges they faced. Another said the ‘Lack of engineering expertise at customer end is leading to delays in development’ was a major challenge.
